Yolanda A. Facio, Master Unhinger
Here’s the thing…I honestly don’t believe things should be made more complicated than necessary.
I don’t think products and services should require a handbook just to get to the part where you know what the products or services will do for you.
Marketing happens to be one of those things I think is far too complicated. At least it is made far too complicated by marketing professionals and marketing teachers. Let’s face it, the more complicated we can make marketing the more you’ll need to buy more marketing services and products, right?
Once we complicate the process of marketing, business owners of all sizes and types glaze over and one of three things happens…one, they pull the covers over their heads and refuse to deal with it, two they slog through complaining the whole time or three, they take out their checkbook and start paying people to do it.
No wonder marketing has such a terrible reputation.
My mission is to “unhinge” what you believe about marketing and give you a reason to love it.
To that end, I hope to make your marketing re-education informative, fun, simple and straight forward.
Not every one has the time to understand every aspect of the marketing process and if you are one of those business owners then I’ll do my best to provide services, products and suggestions on how you can get your marketing tasks done with little frustration.
Marketing is a big topic, and it can be time consuming BUT it doesn’t have to be hard, complicated, frustrating or boring. It is a process, like anything it takes effort. I happen to love it and want you to love it too.
I currently run two bricks-n-mortar businesses and two online businesses. My background is primarily as CEO of those businesses which means that I am a full-time marketer. Although I am a life-long student of marketing, my educational background lies in business and communications. I was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug very early on, I don’t remember a time where my father didn’t run his own business and as a teenager I knew, I too, would be following in those footsteps.
So stick around, read some of the blog posts which should give you some insights into what works and what doesn’t and if you need a hand let me know. I am always available for a question.
